Here's an easy way to help foster your daily peace — stop to take a few deep breaths. Breathe in for four counts, hold for four counts, then out for four counts, and repeat this cyle four times.

Become aware of things you do that are not peacemaking. For example, eating a diet of junk foods is not peacemaking. Living a sedentary lifestyle is not peacemaking. Living under constant stress without managing it is not peacemaking. If I am feeling discord or disharmony, I will remember a time when I felt peaceful and go back there in my head.

Everything Jesus said and every action He took had its foundation in God, in peace. He didn’t care about differences between people; He saw all as innocent children of God. No dogma, just compassion. The many stories and healing of Jesus teach us, "Have faith in God." (Mark 11:22) My goal daily is to put faith into action. And gratitude keeps my thoughts going in the right direction.
