Right livelihood is predicated upon a conscious choice. Too often we live our lives according to what others’ value. When you consciously choose your work, you can participate fully and create joy.

To seek changes in your life, first change your thoughts. Plant seeds of optimism and high self-esteem. You deserve life's best offerings. You can handle whatever comes your way. Cultivate self-confidence!

We live in a friendly universe that is always saying “yes” to us. Our responsibility is to identify and transform those beliefs that sabotage us from accepting and receiving the good that is our birthright.

When you take loving care of your body, and align with the love that you are, then prosperity, peace, health, and success will be yours. Believe in yourself. Have faith. When you believe, all is possible.

Reach out to others with a kind act or word of praise. Small gestures ripple outward and touch thousands of people. Give what you’d like to receive — a compliment, a smile, a hug, or a pat on the shoulder.

Gandhi said that the pure loving kindness of one gentle soul could nullify the hatred of millions. It’s time for all of us to be tenderhearted, live more from our hearts, and to show kindness to everyone.

Smile today. Everyone can do it. If you’re not used to smiling, practice in the mirror by pulling the corners of your mouth up! Put on a happy face and smile at everyone you meet today. Each will feel the joy.

The real you, your Higher Self, which connects with everyone else, has difficulty differentiating between you and others. It believes what you say about someone else is what you believe about yourself.

It's a strong person who is gentle. We always feel at peace with such a person. When you relax, get centered, and focus on the positive, you'll experience an abundance of courage, vitality, strength, and peace.

To open the floodgates of abundance, share what you have. Some call this tithing; some call it donating. When you give of yourself to another person or group, you always receive more than you give. As you'll see in the example later in this chapter, respect your money. Keep your cards and paper money organized in your wallet and replace tattered money at the bank for new bills.
