Edwin's Quotes
Affirm to yourself often: "Not one drop of my self-worth depends on another person's acceptance of me. My self-worth comes from within me. And I am worthy and deserving of the best life has to offer today." Each day, find peace and joy within your own being. Be your own best friend. It was Mark Twain who wisely opined, "The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself."
Sometimes the answer to a challenge or the guidance that we seek seems just beyond our reach. This is the time to “keep on keeping on.” You can win the race no matter how far behind you are when you start. Have a winning mindset. Winners never quit! It was Albert Einstein who said this: "Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving."
Books are more than words on a page. You, the reader, bring the words to life. Research shows that just 30 minutes of reading a day (including this holistic health book!) can allow you to physically reset, lowering your blood pressure, heart rate and stress level. I've added in a few "Humor Breaks" with funny stories and jokes that will tickle your funny bone and strengthen you abs.
In pursuit of physical goals, we often don't take time to nurture our spiritual nature, where all joy and peace originate. Meditation is a gateway to a more balanced, peaceful life. It strengthens the body's immune system, slows the aging process, awakens regenerative energies, enlivens the nervous system and enhances creative abilities. Anyone can do it and here's how.
Unleash the peace within you. There is nothing more valuable than peace, and it's within each of us to choose as a conscious goal. Affirm these words to yourself each day: "I am at peace." Here's something else I do to stay peaceful. I use the words from the Bible - "Peace, be still" and I slowly and deeply breathe in while silently saying "Peace" and then slowly exhale to "be still."
